  • WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
    Microblading is a form of cosmetic permanent makeup. This technique is perform using a manual diposable handheld tool, compose of microfine needles, to implant the pigment into the skin. This particular 3D effect creates a natural feathering of hairlike strokes which seamlessly blends with the client's exisiting brows to add color and fullness, resulting in a very natural look.
  • WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR THE MICROBLADING METHOD?
    Microblading is ideal for clients who have light, thin, or uneven eyebrows and would like to bring balance and fullness to their eyebrows with the most natural looking results. However, not everyone is a candidate for this particular method. Microblading is most suitable for clients with normal skin to ensure the best healing results. This method is less effective on oily/combination skin types as oily skin will cause the microblading strokes to expand and blur. Microblading also requires more frequent touchups as oppose to other techniques. At Touch of Brows, we will assess who is an ideal candidate for this particular technique.
  • WHAT IS OMBRE POWDER BROW?
    Ombre Powder Brow is a soft shading technique that mimics a soft shaded brow pencil look and is suitable for all skin types. Ombre Powder Brow is our most requested technique. This particular technique is perform using a digital machine to implant pigment creating a more gradient effect from the beginning of the brow to tail of the brow. This method is customizable and is use to enhance the client's eyebrows to give the look of makeup.
  • WHAT ARE HYBRID BROWS?
    Hybrid Brows are crafted using a technique of combining microblading strokes with powder brows. This technique is done by adding hairstokes at the head of the brows and subtly fading into powder brows, giving client's brows the softness of Microblading and the fullness of Powder brows.
  • WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
    Consultation is done the day of appointment. A consultation helps us understand your eyebrow or lip goals and any questions you may have. Please have realistic goals as almost everyone has some degree of asymmetry on their face. Please note, we will cutomize your shape according to your preference, ultimately it is your decision, but as the professional, we will always voice our opinion on what we think will suit you aesthetically. A before photo will then be taken and we will shape your eyebrows, select a pigment customized for you, taken into account the color of your brow hair, skin tone and undertone. If your appointment is for a lip procedure (lip blush/neutralization), we will also take a before photo, map your lips, and choose a color accordingly. Once we have agreed on the shape and you are confident in moving forward with your decision, your artist will then proceed with the procedure and your artist will apply topical anesthetic to ensure comfort.
  • WHAT IS LIP BLUSH/NEUTRALIZATION?
    Lip Blush is a PMU service which enhances the beauty of natural lip color, add symmetry, give an illusion of fullness and definition resulting in a natural lip tint. Lip neutralization is a PMU service to gradually give a more consistent upper and lower lip tone color. Lip procedures are a gradual process and may need several sessions to achieve the desired results. Please note, if you have a history of cold sores, please consult with your physician prior to your appointment.
  • DOES IT HURT?
    A topical anesthetic will be applied throughout the procedure to alleviate any discomfort. Pain level varies individually.
  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
    The appointment will take 2.5 to 3 hours. If there is a correction service added, the appointment may take an extra 30-40 minutes. Please allot extra time for your appointment as we do not want to rush these procedures.
  • HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
    Gradual fading can be expected for all cosmetic permanent makeup procedures. All methods generally last 1-3 years. This varies among individuals and is dependent on skin type, conditions, specific shade used, personal care routine, sun exposure, and so forth. Touch ups and daily use of spf are recommended to maintain the desired look.
  • WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?
    You are advise to follow aftercare instructions. Please keep the eyebrows or lip in a sanitary environment. This includes no swimming, sweating, and prolonged sun exposure as this may result in color loss and scarring. Please use clean/disposable straws and/or utensils following lip procedure. Please avoid picking, peeling, scratching, rubbing or makeup at the eyebrow or lip area until they are completely healed. Aftercare instructions will be provided after procedure.
  • WHAT IS THE HEALING TIME?
    Healing time varies and on average may take about 7-14 days. However, touchup sessions are recommended at least four weeks after procedure to ensure full healing. There is no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness and swelling varies individually and will dissipate within a few hours or a day.
  • ARE THERE ALLERGIC REACTIONS?
    Allergic reactions to pigments are rare. At Touch of Brows, we provide a patch test to avoid any possible reaction upon request. During the patch test, pigment and topical anesthetic will be placed behind your ear to assess for any allergic reactions during the following 24-48 hours. Please note the patch test has to be booked by a separate appointment before your initial procedure.
  • WHO IS NOT CONSIDERED CANDIDATES FOR THESE PROCEDURES?
    If you have any of the following, you may not be a good candidate for these treatments. - Under the age of 18 - Pregnant or Breastfeeding - Allergies to topical anesthetics - Keloid scarring - Keratosis, facial psoriasis or eczema near the treated area (rashes, acne, sunburn, etc.) - If you have a transmittable blood disease such as HIV or hepatitis - Accutane in the past year - Viral infections and/or diseases - Chemical peel within the last few weeks - Medications, treatments, or illness that compromises the immune system - A pacemaker or major heart problems - Botox in the past 2 months - Diabetes, Chemotherapy, and any other Medical conditions consult your doctor (must provide doctor’s note) - For any additional questions or concerns please call or message us.   • ARE THESE PROCEDURES CONSIDERED TATTOO/ARE THEY PERMANENT?
    Semi permanent makeup is a form of cosmetic tattoo because pigments are implanted in the upper layers of the skin. These procedure uses finer needles to implant the pigments. These pigments gradually fades over time and are absorbed by the body.
  • ARE THESE PROCEDURES SAFE?
    Absolutely! At Touch of Brows, we use medically sterilized, sealed, and disposable materials for each client. We strictly follow OSHA standards for safe handling of blood and bodily fluids.
  • ARE THE PROCEDURES GUARANTEED?
    Semi permanent makeup is not guaranteed as every individual's skin anatomy is different. Many factors are taken into consideration, such as skin type, age, scarring, diet, stress levels, facial products used, lifestyle, immune system, etc all play a key role as to how well pigments are retained. Therefore, additional sessions are required to achieve the desired result.
